Date– 7th & 8th September
Times- 10.00am – 4.00pm (1 hour for lunch)
Description-Designed specifically for out of towners this session gives you 12 hours of millinery fun over 2 days in Serena’s working studio. Starting on Saturday morning and finishing on Sunday afternoon you can create a simple hat or headpiece of your design.
Start the weekend with an idea and a discussion of what is possible over a cup of coffe with Serena and finish the weekend with a whole lot of skills and a hat that you can wear to the races or around town.
Using traditional millinery skills and equipment you can create the foundation of your hat, working at your own pace you can complete the stages of construction that require specialised equipment and support from Serena.
You will learn-You will go home with a finished hat and learn the following. This includes
- Designing your hat
- Blocking your shape
- Stiffening
- Assembling stitches
- Simple trim
- Finishing your hat
All this in a relaxed environment with like minded millinery enthusiasts.
On enrolment you will receive a materials list and suppliers or you can source a limited range of materials at cost price from my studio.
